Captain Polyplast forays into solar EPC segment

BSE-listed Captain Polyplast Ltd, engaged in micro irrigation industry with its excellent quality products and strong distribution network, is entering solar EPC segment as part of its expansion plan. The entry into solar EPC segment complements company's focus on sustainable products, technologies and would help it to participate in government's drive for expanding renewable energy capacity in India by 175GW till 2022.

The company has set up dedicated teams for solar EPC project across the county for retail, commercial and large-scale project applications. It has successfully completed solar EPC projects with capacity of more than 1,500KW across 340+ customers so far. Currently, the company has an order in pipeline of 5,000KW and additional projects are expected to be finalized and executed in this financial year. According to a recent market survey, the global solar energy market was valued at $52.5 billion in 2018 and is projected to reach $223.3 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 20.5 per cent.
